Because of the new law in Alabama about police officers being able to question anyone they suspect as being an illegal immigrant around 200,000 Hispanic immigrants have already fled Alabama. This law mainly was to get back more jobs from illegal immigrants for Americans. Many illegal immigrants have left there jobs and schools leaving businesses and farmers in the dust with no workers which means no money. They are saying that they are all scared of being arrested and are afraid to leave they're house during the day. Do you think that illegal immigrants are actually leaving the US? How do you think Business owners will react if they cant find any workers to replace they're old workers?

Since the economy is bad now and people need jobs i think that the employers arent worried but when the economy turns good again there will be less people to hire. The new law will effect alot of businesses. I think immigrants are fleeing the US because they wanna stay with their family members who dont have the right paperwork to stay and they dont feel welcome here anymore.
ReplyDeleteThis law is good and bad in the sense that police are trying to slim down the percentage of illegal immigrants but bad because this law can cause alot of discrimination and prejudice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pat I feel that the law helps and doesn't at the same time. Even though it opens opportunities for American workers it frustrates American business owners because they are losing "cheap" workers. Losing all of their workers will also affect their business incomes and slow down what they are producing until they are replaced with American workers.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this law is good and bad, police should not have the authority, but the state should, if anything the police would need to get a warrant from the state. Good though in the seance of job opportunity if they are illegal then they shouldn't have the job.
