58-year-old man beat and stabbed his wife 3 times in their garage. Neighbor called police after hearing the woman screaming for help. Witnesses say she could have died if police got there any later. Police had to kick down the garage door to get inside. The man was arrested and refused to leave his cell for his arraignment so they had to reschedule.
What do you think we could do to stop domestic violence? Why/how do you think domestic violence is caused?
This is a bit tough to answer due to the fact the act of violence happened inside of their home. We really just have to rely on witnesses in the area to help you because it is not like we could install cameras to monitor people's homes because that would be "one" invasion of privacy and "two" cost a enormous amount of money.. To me I feel there is nothing we can really do to stop domestic violence even though it is such a huge problem. I feel it is caused due to stress from work, typical anger, and some could just commit the violence because they just want to.. This is a huge problem and needs to be dealt with but what can we do..?
ReplyDeleteI think that domestic violence is caused by fighting and getting out of hand and they use physical violence to solve their own problems. I think that domestic violence is a terrible thing and we should find a way to stop it. One way I think would be good is if your in a relationship and you fight a lot then you should take a step and go to someone for advice so it doesn't get that bad. What this 58 year old did to his wife is a terrible thing and he should be served life in jail because you can solve problems without physical violence. Just get help and ask people for advice and you'll be fine.
