There have been many protests against President Bashar Al Assad and the government of Syria. President Al Assad started trying to stop these protests by killing and throwing many civilians in jail. This has been going on since January of 2011. What do you think the United States should do to help end Al Assad's regime and prevent from this spreading through the region?
The United States should have troops go in and help by using military aid to help the civilians. Because what the Syrian government is doing goes against the U.S. laws on the freedom of speech. The U.S should not exceed the military force to prevent the potential threat of armed force disagreement and/or conflict. But should help the civilians from being killed and thrown in jail for putting their opinion out to the Syrian government. The Syrian government has made ten thousand people flee to neighboring countries. Not only should the U.S. government go in to help the people but to prevent the situation from potentially turning into an even bigger massacre than it has already gotten to.
ReplyDeleteI agree with marissa. We should use our military aid and go in to help in any way we can. We should not use any type of violence to escalate the problem even more because we don't wanna make things worse. If the people in Syria are getting thrown out of their own homes because they are in fear we should go in and help. This will hopefully stop the spread of Al assads regime.
ReplyDeleteThe US should intervene to help protect the people of Syria and stop Al Assad's regime. The US should help protect the people an protect them from killed and jailed for protests, but these punishments have been seen in the US in the past. So we should make sure that it will not happen in the US before we help out other countries protesting problems. Because that makes us seem as though we are hypocrites.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty hard to decide but I agree with everyone else on the fact that the U.S. must act now before Al Asaad's regime spreads even more. The only way to stop this violence is through a military intervention and one soon. I think this is so because the longer we wait to attack the more innocent lives will be taken away and the farther this violence will spread.
