Recently the state of Alabama has taken effect to law HB56 against illegal immigration. This law has Gabriela Vazquez and her family packing after living in the United States for five years. The government could take Gabriela's children from her at any time. Just because her kids where born in the United States I don't think It's right for the government to take them away from her if she's not an unfit mother. I think they should let her take her keep custody of her children. Do you think that law HB56 change over the years? Or will this law even stick around for a long time?

The government could take Gabriela's children from her at any time. Just because her kids where born in the United States I don't think It's right for the government to take them away from her if she's not an unfit mother. I think they should let her take her keep custody of her children. Do you think that law HB56 change over the years? Or will this law even stick around for a long time?
I think it might b around for awhile..but I also think by the way things are going that they will end it and let people keep their kids even if they are illegal and not their kids.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Melanie and Johny because i think that the law will stay for a while. I also think that she should be able to keep the custody of her children because she didnt do anything wrong to loose them. She should be able to stay with them here or the children should go with her.

ReplyDeleteI feel this law will stick around due to the fact that Obama has been strict on immigration and future politicians of the opposing party are expected to enforce even stronger immigration laws.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Deportation. Don't come here illegally. But the fact that they can take her kids is crazy. You can't do that to someone if they are a perfect parent. Let the kids go with the rest of the family if anything.
ReplyDeleteTim,why do you agree with deportation? The only thing people who come here illiegally are because they have already tried to get a document and immigration thought that they were not good enough. They don't give a chance to them. They just want to give their family a better life.
ReplyDeleteI think this law needs to be abolished you have a right to live in the U.S.. If they have been here for five years why do they get kicked out why don't we just focus on the illegal immigrants on our borders not in our country. I think we should let the illegal immigrants stay that are already here.

Because getting papers and being able to come to this country legally is a very long process, and when families are in desperate needs theyre going to find a way here wether its legal or not. Most of them want nothing to do with crime or anything illegal in this country. Therefore we have no right to take away their children due to legal statue. Their children are their children.
